Tom Vatterott (he/him), Therapy Intern

Starting therapy takes courage, and I'm glad you’re here. Life can be overwhelming, and it’s natural for challenges to feel taxing. If you want to feel more in control, develop healthier relationships, and confidently navigate your emotions, I’d be excited to join your journey.

How I Work

While progress can be discomforting, the itchy edges of growth are how we pursue living authentically and experiencing fulfillment. During our time together, we’ll slow down and explore your experiences; I’ll offer a curious and patient space rarely offered by daily life. I bring warmth, groundedness, and a down-to-earth approach, meeting you with care, practical tools, and openness. I use Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and you can expect non-judgemental acceptance.

My Background

After completing film school and working in entertainment, I changed careers and enrolled as a Marriage and Family Therapy master’s student at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. My background includes serving unhoused families, residential psychiatric support, and crisis counseling I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I specialize in challenges with masculinity, blended families, and suicidality. In my free time, I enjoy biking and writing non-fiction.
