Mission, Vision, and Values

MISSION

Cascade Therapy Group’s mission is liberation through mental health

We are a group of helping professionals committed to racial and gender justice, human rights, and health care for all.

We create generational change by improving relationships, health, and well-being, in a collaborative, respectful environment

We work to help people disrupt patterns that have held them back from reaching their deepest peace and richest relationships, which we believe is true freedom.

VISION

We envision a world in which prioritizing mental health is normal.

In this world, self-compassion is the default; acceptance of self sparks compassion for others; and the hardship and the beauty of life are accepted and contribute to a sense of deeper meaning and fulfillment.

VALUES

The heart and soul of our values at Cascade is a deep respect and compassion for others and for ourselves.

In our clinical work, we know that caring for others starts with caring for ourselves. We believe that work is one realm of our health and life satisfaction, along with movement, food, sex and sensual connection, play, art, beauty, time in nature, and social interaction. When our *life’s* work can feed us, nourish us,  and respond to our interests and needs, it generates capacity to contribute to the needs of our community and our world

In our workplace, we believe in fairness: fair wages, life-work balance, influence, autonomy, diversity, inclusion, and equity. Creating an equitable culture means finding humility in the not knowing, and embracing cultural curiosity and exploration.  We treat ourselves and others with dignity, compassion, respect, candor, and care. We believe this is the best way we can prioritize growth and evolution

In our training, supervision, and professional growth, we value the opportunity to to work in an environment that aligns with our core principles, where connection, collaboration, and education are central to excellence, growth, and enjoyment of work. We know that learning flourishes through strong relationships, and that mentorship is the best way to develop confidence and outstanding clinical skills.

For our community,  we believe that health care is a human right, and that mental health is health. We work to bring our professional expertise into the community by making resources accessible to all. We aim to contribute to a world where self-compassion is a driving and centering force for all people.
