Cascade Therapy Group is a group of helping professionals in Saint Paul committed to racial and gender justice, eliminating health disparities, and improving relationships, health, and well-being, in a collaborative, respectful environment.

We are delighted to have the opportunity to provide a supervised paid internship for 1-2 students for the upcoming 2026-2027 calendar year.

We are looking for folks who are interested in finding their “professional home” (as one of our clinicians calls Cascade) and growing with the practice long-term. Candidates must be collaborative, community-oriented, independent, and driven, and enhance our fun, connected, positive, and civic-minded group of clinicians.

Compensation is percentage, based on income generated, and paid out monthly. Interns should be willing to market themselves to build their referral base and recognition in the community. We offer a flexible schedule to include some evening and/or weekend hours. This position is for W-2 employment (not an independent contractor).

  • Steady stream of referrals

  • On-staff billing specialists to coordinate benefits/eligibility, submit claims, send statements, and assist with payment collection

  • On-staff intake specialists who answer calls and emails and complete screening and initial scheduling

  • Electronic medical record, phone service, secure messaging, fax, email, telemental health platforms, etc.

  • Individual consultation with our Clinical Director/Practice owner

  • Weekly group case consultation

Candidates are:

  • Current MFT students

  • Warm, friendly, and emotionally mature

  • Excited to learn and connect with new colleagues

  • Open to feedback and patient with steep learning curves

  • Experienced in a clinical setting or comparable setting

Required education:

  • In the final stages of Master’s program
