Allie Wollman (she/her), MA
If you're looking to feel more solid, confident, and sure of who you are, I offer a space where you can safely explore and grow in those areas. I believe that healing happens best in the context of connection with others. It takes courage and effort to grow your willingness to choose vulnerability, and you can count on me to be a compassionate, present listener, with a sprinkling of warm humor and plenty of authenticity. Difficult experiences shape the way that we see the world and navigating that alone can feel overwhelming. Whether you have experienced a big life change, need support in your day-to-day life, or would like to safely heal through a past experience, I can help you find your way through that process.
My background
I am an LGBTQIA+ identifying therapist and completed my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at St. Mary’s University. I also completed my bachelor’s degree in Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota. I am trained in evidence-based modalities & my work is informed by attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, somatic experiencing, experiential, narrative, and trauma-informed approaches. Mindfulness and psycho-education are consistent threads in my practice as well. I am a sex-positive and queer-affirming therapist.
How I work
Together, we will explore tricky relationships, hard situations, and confusing feelings while also celebrating wins and creating joy. I use the connection between mind, body, and spirit and help you learn how to tolerate discomfort by noticing somatic cues or spiritual longings. We live in our entire being, not just in our mind. Life's hardships are inevitable. By working together, we can find meaning in your challenges while learning how our emotions inform our wishes, dreams, and desires. You are your best tool to use for lasting growth and healing.
